1. Who we are

Woordify operates this collaborative storytelling platform. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. For privacy questions contact privacy@woordify.com.

2. Data we collect

Account data (via our auth provider, Clerk): email address, username, and sign-in metadata. Content you create: stories, scenes, votes, and discussion messages. Usage & technical data: basic logs and a language preference cookie. We do not sell your personal data.

3. How we use it

To operate the Service (accounts, publishing, voting, discussions), to translate and format text on request, to credit and — where applicable — share revenue for contributions, to keep the platform safe, and to comply with law.

4. Service providers & AI

We use trusted processors to run Woordify: Clerk (authentication), Cloudflare (hosting, database, delivery), and OpenAI (AI translation and screenplay formatting — scene text you ask to translate or format is sent to OpenAI for processing). These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards.

5. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies: a session cookie for staying signed in (Clerk) and a lang cookie that remembers your chosen language. We do not use advertising cookies.

6. Retention

We keep account and content data while your account is active and as needed to operate the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Note that scenes incorporated into shared, community-built works may remain part of those works.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR and Türkiye’s KVKK), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@woordify.com.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
